Dear Diary: In either world, I start decorating my house on December 1. Yes, I put up lots of decorations in the house, including a Christmas tree in every room but I don't forget about the outside at all. I try to give it just as much attention.
Everything is starting to look so festive. Good Night for now. Dear Diary: Chloe and I always like shopping for our Christmas sweaters. Our shopping has paid off this year and we are really happy with what we found.

I like to start my Christmas shopping early. At least those are my intentions. Sometimes "early" doesn't come. But this year I did start earlier than I expected. When I decide on a day to start my buying, I make it a whole day event. I make sure I get to the stores when they first open. That way the crowds aren't too bad and it gives me time to browse and buy what I want. By the time the day is ending, I'm drained from trying to think of what I should buy and getting tired of carrying the bags of the things I did buy.
Time to head home for supper. Good Night for now. I'm wearing: Hair (with hat): no match NO JOKE Coat: Prism Alison winter coat (grey) Boots: Lassitude & ennui Hellebors (black) Pose (with shopping bags): Foxcity
Dear Diary: I have to have my coffee in the morning. It's a must! I have about 3 cups to start my day. It's definitely a morning routine. But once the afternoon comes upon me, I look for my tea,
I'm particular the way my tea is brewed. The tea pot must be hot. The water has to be boiling. And the tea can't be "pale". It also tastes better out of a tea cup rather than a mug. Some of my friends are not as fussy as I am but I'm trying to sway them to my way. Good Night for now. I'm wearing: Body: Maitreya Lara Head: LeLutka Chloe Skin: Amara Beauty Pamela Lipstick: Adored glint Hair: Monso my hair Lea Dress: BlondeQueen Octavia Red & White Tartan Necklace and Earrings: Chop Zuey Maui set Pose with prop: Nantra Just here for the tea Location: Backdrop City
Dear Diary: This month changes from "November" to "Movember" . It's a month when men and women donate time and funds to bring awareness to men's health, in particular prostate cancer and testicular cancer, as well as mental health. To show their support, men put away their shaving accessories and grow mustaches. The 'stache can be a horseshoe or a handlebar, a van dyke or a walrus. A shadow is just as effective. It shows support for the men in our lives. Sam and I also like to do our part in both our worlds.
There are many local fundraisers or major associations that you can donate to, either in person or online. There is also a group in our second world that you can join. Let's change men's health for the better. Good Night for now. Dear Diary: I went away with my family on the weekend. It was fun. There were many laughs and a lot of joking. Fun to be away but always nice to get home. However this time I brought a rousing cold with me so I'm going to bed to recover.
I have everything I need on the bed beside me. Of course the remote is important; the cold remedies are needed; but most critical is a full box of Kleenex! I'm set for the night. Good Night for now. I'm wearing: Hair: monso Suzy Blanket: Commoner Sluggie (green) Cold Supplies: Second Spaces sick day Furniture: La Galleria Pose: Dream Print sick (no longer available)
Now how could I have made a mistake like that but I did! In my first world I started out teaching in the elementary system. I loved every minute of it. It was challenging, rewarding and a fantastic learning experience. I learned a lot from my students. I just had to listen.. A shout out to all the dedicated teachers out there who love their jobs and care about their students. I admire you all for what you are doing every day. It's a tough job but a gratifying one. Good Night for now. I'm wearing: Hair: Monso samantha Dress: Maitreya short jersey dress (nude) Earrings: Caroline's large hoop (gold) Watch: kunst Regan watch Pose: Foxcity Location: Balmoral Academy High School
Dear Diary: The other night (in my first world), a business friend of mine was having a reception at a local hotel. Of course I went to support him and have a good time. It was fun and I enjoyed myself. When I got home, I thought that maybe I could duplicate the night in my second world. So I tried.
I visited Backdrop City, a location that provides numerous background scenes for photo opportunities. I found one depicting a hotel but I could have chosen a variety of other selections. It's a mind boggling place to visit since the collection is so vast.
Time flies, they say. Where does it fly to? Does leave my house through the windows? the doors? Or does it just disappear? As far as I'm concerned, I think it does all those things and right it front of me. June came and went and I'm not sure I really noticed. It's a month leading up to summer so I expect it to be busy. July entered the picture - sunny, hot, lazy - but too quickly it was August. Again it proved to be sunny, hot, lazy but that turned into September. Now we're half way into September with October pushing on the door and I don't seem to be slowing down. Is that good? But I'm left with the question - Why? Good Night for now. I'm wearing: Body: Maitreya Lara Head: LeLutka Chloe Skin: Amara Beauty Pamela Eyes: Arte brown gem Eye lashes: adored minxy lashes Hair: Tram H020 Dress: Rama Stephanie ruffled mini dress (black) Shoes: Gos Boutique platform pumps (group gift) Chair: Myrrine Noir Collection (floral)
Dear Diary: It seems the summer has gone so fast and now Fall is in the air. I asked my friends to join me for a last get together before we need to put away the swimsuits and to celebrate Labour Day with a BBQ later.
Dear Diary: I was scrolling through the destination listings the other day and noticed that a butterfly conservatory was listed. Having visited one in New York a few years back, I was interested to see how my second world would portray it. I wasn't disappointed.
The area is beautiful! Follow the paths to pass gardens filled with flowers that attract butterflies. Many are flying over the bushes or in the air above your head. There is seating where you can sit for hours watching the butterflies dart across your path. A chart can be seen is various places, naming the butterflies in the conservatory. It's a challenge to find all of them.
It's a very peaceful and serene surrounding so after visiting you are completely relaxed. I strongly recommend you take a tour of the butterfly conservatory.
Dear Diary: Today is a Civic holiday for me. It's so nice to have a long weekend. Everything - laundry, vacuuming, dish washing - can come to a standstill and it can be an enjoyable day off. Chloe and I got an invitation for a boat ride so we flew out to the dock to meet our friend. I said to Chloe, "Let's take a picture to remember this day". "Good idea", she said, but little did she realize I had the perfect pose all planned.
She was a good sport about it and agreed that the pose reflected the day as we ended up having a lot of fun on the lake. Good Night for now. Dear Diary: Lipstick seems to be the icing on the cake, It's the last thing you put on when doing your makeup so it not only compliments your skin, it coordinates with your clothing
You can find lots of specials on lipstick today. Major cosmetic companies are offering discounts and often free lipstick either online or in store. Check out some of your favourite cosmetic offerings in our second world. There may be percentages off for lipstick.
Dear Diary: Most women like men who are sensitive and listen to what they want. Hmmm...where are those men?? So when I saw that I could have a sensitive man beside me anytime I wanted, I jumped at the chance to have him pop up whenever I summoned.
This guy is really a cute one. His name is Mike (he tells you that) and he has a lot of appropriate sayings to make you appreciate him. Mike also comes in Casanova and Bad Boy types which I'm sure are equally entertaining. In reality, no one wants to hear all the stuff you WANT to hear so with Mike, you can just put him away for a bit when you are tired of his repertoire. Then on days when you really need "fluffing" up, bring him out! Good Night for now. Dear Diary: The weather has turned hot in both my worlds. I enjoy the heat - once in awhile - but sometimes it makes me lazy. A cold glass of lemonade, a quick dip in the lake or a large slice or two of watermelon perks me up. The watermelon was available so that was the help I needed.
I found this fruit stand in Sundaban. What a relief to get a cold slice of watermelon after touring the sim. A great place to visit. Now to find some shade. Good Night for now. I'm wearing: Body: Maitreya Lara Head: LeLutka Chloe Skin: Amara Beauty Pamela Hair: monso Jieun Jumpsuit: Sorumin Spring jumpsuit ( striped white) Sandals: kokoia Halle (black) Pose (with watermelon): Pacagaria Penelope Location: Sundarban
Dear Diary: Most weddings take place in the summer. I'm not sure why since other times of the year can have just as nice weather but I guess the odds are better in July rather than January. The Trunk Show is here and I found the cutest dress that would be perfect for July.
Dear Diary: The day is here and the place is starting to fill up. My friends and family are coming over to celebrate Canada's birthday.
I've been cooking and cleaning for a few days so it's my day to enjoy the food and fireworks. The BBQ is already to go and the beer is on ice. I hope all of my Canadian friends enjoy the day as well. Good Night for now.
Dear Diary: I flew into a flower shop the other day to pick up a bouquet for my home. I spied this odd looking plant that intrigued me but looked familiar at the same time. I tried to touch it.
It was so ugly it was cute! But the results weren't exactly what I was looking for.
And then it came to me = a "Little Shop of Horrors". It was a off-Broadway play that was turned into a movie several years ago. The play version was produced in my city and that's where I saw it. The story takes place in a run-down flower shop that's about to close. An unusual plant becomes the focal point when the shop keepers realize the plant can talk. Unfortunately, the plant grows larger and larger, by feeding on human blood. This Venus fly trap is a great reproduction of the real one. Good Night for now. I'm wearing: Body: Maitreya Lara Head: LeLutka Chloe Skin and makeup: Amara Beauty Pamela Hair: no match NO BREAK Dress: Decoy Maliah (white) Earrings: Maxi Gossamer Summertime Ring: Amacci Dottie Plant: HEXtraordinary Screeching Snap Seedling
Dear Diary: When I was planning my Mother's Day post, I wanted very casual clothing since that was the way I was going to dress. I happened upon this store,RKKN, that had the type of clothes I liked - casual. I bought my outfit and picked up some casual summer shorts. As I was in the women's section, I wanted a summer outfit but couldn't find anything. Shortly after that, Shiny Shabby released their latest offerings and there it was - a cute summer skirt (in patterns and plains) with coordinating tops with a wide colour choice. I just had to have it.
Everything at RKKN comes in many colour selections. All items offered look so comfortable. I will check back at the store for future additions to their inventory. Good Night for now. I'm wearing: (Left at Shiny Shabby til Jun 15) Top: RKKN Maya's shirt (pale green) Skirt: RKKN Maya's skirt (pattern 7) (Right) Tee: RKKN Maggie's shirt (pink) Shorts: RKKN Maggie's shorts (light grey)
Dear Diary: Towel Day is celebrated in honour of Douglas Adams, author of "The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy", adapted from a BBC radio show. Adams was a very talented man, writing episodes for Doctor Who and many other television programs; writing several more books, including "Dirk Gently's Holistic Detective Agency"', as well as co-authoring the "Liff.." series; and he was founder-director for The Digital Village, a company producing interactive games. I put on my towel and found a great place to celebrate Douglas Adama.
This year I'm memorializing Adams at The Blarney Stone, where the bartender is chatty; the stout comes quickly and, the atmosphere is upbeat. To see other places I've been in my towel, check the Towel Day label. Good Night for now. I'm wearing: Hair: Mina Vera Towel: Meli Imako bath towel (tinted) (SL Marketplace) Location: The Blarney Stone
Dear Diary: In my first world, I like to have plants around my house. It brightens up my home and brings nature inside. However, I'm not very good at maintaining the TLC and sometimes my plants expire before I can help them. That doesn't happen in my second world where plants seem to flourish whether I tend to them or not. In both my worlds, it's reccommended a good misting stimulates the plant and provides a "shower" to help with leaf maintenance.
Well, that job is finished. Now onto my real world. Good Night for now. I'm wearing: Body: Maitreya Lara Head: LeLutka Chloe Skin: Amara Beauty Amy Hair: Monso Chowon Sweater: Pixicat Signe top (yellow) Jeans: Pixicat Signe jeans (blue faded) Earrings: Mandala Senju (Africa) Mister: Mithral metal mister Plants: What Next Swiss Cheese plant; Pothos Pose: An Lar
Dear Diary: This is how I want to spend my Mother's Day!
Sitting out on the beach in the sun; listening to my favourite tunes; having at hand a chai latte and a snack; and even reading a good book if...and I say IF I feel like it. That's what I'm doing today. Happy Mother's Day to all the fabulous mothers out there who work so tirelessly but happily for the families. Take some time to enjoy your day. Good Night for now. Dear Diary: You know how I love wedding dresses. The Trunk Show appeared and I flew out to see it right away. I had a hard time deciding what look I was going for. I think a white wedding dress is always classy looking but a lot of brides, first or second time, are going for a soft colour tinge to their dress. The blush or soft pink colour is very flattering.
Everything, except the headpiece had a HUD so the flowers can be changed for any dress; and the dress can be worn in several colours as a formal gown or a bridesmaid dress. Very practical! Good Night for now. I'm wearing from The Trunk Show til May 18: Wedding dress: Snatch April gown Head piece: The Annex Morning Dew Earrings: Blienson & Mai Tai Marte Bouquet: Tres Beau calla Lily Swag bouquet
