Dear Diary:
Have you ever taken dance lessons? I think it would be interesting to learn a particular dance from someone who really knows how to do it. But I could never find a partner who was willing to go through with it. It's a good thing I always have an available partner in my second world.
I called up my friend Sam and cajoled him into going for lessons. He resisted...big time... but I finally convinced him that it would be fun. After weeks of practicing, we found a great dance place to try out our moves. The sign announcing "Dance Party" caught our attention.
In my first world, I want to know how to do the tango and some day will accomplish it but for now, dancing at a dance party was just great.

On her blog, Strawberry Singh wrote about personality tests that could reveal to you what type of personality you may have. The first time I did one of these tests was in university. We were studying Jung and we all did it for fun. Since then, I have completed these tests a few times and it always comes out basically the same.
I am an extrovert. I do know that without taking any test. My thinking skills are good, while I tend to be intuitive. One test describes my type as being "clever and innovative, while being ingenious at problem solving". I do think about things a lot and I do try to solve problems without getting too involved. Logic seems to help in these situations.
Hmmm....I do sound pretty good as a person but you haven't seen my other side yet. That's calling for another post!

Every year, March 8th is celebrated as International Women's Day. This day is important in more than 100 countries and is acknowledged in many countries as a holiday for women.
The colour of the day this year is purple.
Canada's theme is #InnovateForChange, with a technological approach, STEM. It stands for science, technology, engineering and math. The idea is to create a more equal world by taking away the hurdles that women face in STEM. Only a third of the graduates in STEM are women. Let's make our girls, our friends, our daughters feel they can be in STEM and be successful.
Here are some things to do to celebrate Women's Day:
- Participate in a Women's Day event
- Learn more about women in your community who have made a contribution in STEM
- Encourage women you know to look at technology as an option for further education.

Dear Diary:
Today is Shrove Tuesday...or Fat Tuesday...or Pancake Day! For supper I'll make pancakes with maple syrup and enjoy every mouthful.
This stack is too much for me. I could probably eat 3 pancakes that size. It depends how hungry I am.
Today also signifies the beginning of Lent so now I'll have to think of something to give up for the days til Easter. Hmmm....I've used broccoli too many times....never chocolate...maybe lima beans this year....got it!

Dear Diary:
I like going out to The Trunk Show. I enjoy looking at the different types of wedding dresses and thinking of what I could put together for a regal outfit. However, this time it seems I had intervention.
When I brought in the mail, I noticed an official looking envelope hidden by all the bills. It was an invitation to my cousin's wedding. She was getting married in the Dominican Republic...a destination wedding! I knew what kind of wedding dress I could buy.
Something casual; cool with a nice pair of flip flops is perfect for the beach.
The destination idea appeals to me right now. I could get out of this cold weather!
