October Is Breast Cancer Awareness Month

Dear Diary:

There are many ways of keeping ourselves current on breast cancer.  Self examination is an easy and cost effective way to check.  The shower is the best place to accomplish the exam.  If you're not sure of how to do it, ask in a doctor's office or in a clinic.  The pamphlet that is given out is very easy to follow.

Get a mammogram.  There are clinics where you can go for an appointment and in my area, buses that will come around to malls or recreation areas to provide access to a test.

This month support your local cancer clinic or cancer society with a donation.  There are still cancers which have not had any new treatments lately that need to have upgrades too.  Donations help research provide discoveries to eventually getting rid of cancer altogether.

There are several places in SL where you can give a donation or support the associations.
